I really enjoy the diversity that Family Medicine provides. I discovered in medical school that I had several interests (Women's Health, Pediatrics, and Preventive Medicine) and Family Medicine allowed me to pursue all of my interests without compromising. I also really enjoy the continuity of care aspect and being able to establish bonds and relationships with my patients.

Being a Family Medicine PCP puts me in a unique position to be a patient鈥檚 home base and help educate and empower them to manage their health with me. I will be serving patients with health behaviors shaped by resource-poor environments and with certain barriers to care that end up with multiple chronic conditions. I am specifically interested in Lifestyle Medicine and love that I get to offer a preventive approach to children and their parents, adults, and the elderly.

I chose family medicine because of how much it has to offer. I couldn't choose between caring for children or adults, so I chose both. Along those same lines, there is not one body system that I value over the other; all systems are working together for the whole and I value them all equally. Family Medicine is the only specialty that allows you to work with any population you desire, while also retaining every piece of knowledge that you've accumulated over the years to make the best decisions for your patients.

What I valued most when choosing a residency program was how that place made me feel. The love and support that runs through this program was very evident. 暴风资源 is also very active in the community and does not only talk the talk, but truly walks the walk. I love anything outdoors (ie. river tubing, walks, sitting on the patio). Nature brings me so much peace.  I love art  (museums, art shows, painting classes, etc).
